Complete overhaul of German and English software manual at Signavio The responsible software engineer as software expert and me as linguistic expert completely re-arranged and re-translated the Signavio manual. The file had been edited over the past 5 years by the software engineer who was responsible for adding or changing the feature so we established writing standards and completely changed the text.Since the software had started with one feature and then added others, we also had to completely change the index and switch around the chapters between different features. We also added and changed information on-the-fly as the development of the software with 3 week release cycle did not stop during the project. When we were done after 8 months of part-time work, the 620 pages manual had a good design and structure, was well-written in both German and English and standards had been established so that the future writing team was able to continue the work.
