Code Factory is the corporate startup of Deutsche Kreditbank AG located in the heart of Berlin.
Our Mission: creating tomorrow’s banking! By developing and realizing sustainable solutions for DKB customers, we’re transforming DKB from a financial institute into an agile IT company with a banking license.
We’re always looking for new ideas on how to make banking better and make a real difference in people’s lives.
For us, digitization does not mean replacing employees, but rather making them ready for the future and the challenges ahead.
By constantly developing new ideas, we not only provide our customers with the best possible service, but also support DKB in faster implementations of their social projects. From windmills to kindergardens or hospitals - our work has an impact on our society, which motivates us every day.
We believe in people development and lifelong learning. That’s why we like to experiment with new technologies and methods. Our team consists of 40 people from 18 nations. 40 curious people, that work towards a common goal and empower each other.
We are not afraid of failure, we just never do some ;) we learn from experiences and try to become better every day - true to the motto: “Trial and Error”. Even if our new recruiting campaign says something different ;)
With years of experience developing various applications, elevated yourself to someone who shares their knowledge with others and leads them to success. Bossing people around is not your cup of tea, you prefer inspiring and teaching them. You look forward to developing not just an enterprise-grade banking product for one of Germany's largest direct banks, but also developing the best team possible.
At DKB Code Factory you will be able to build a team from scratch and lead it to success, as well as manage relationships between DKB project managers, product owners, and software developers. You'll be expected to support business analysts and project managers by evaluating development tasks and your younger developers with your knowledge.
You should have at least 7 years of experience, a few in a lead capacity. You say yes to Java: you are passionate about developing great products and self-learning. Not having a formal computer science education is not a deal breaker, just let us know what qualifies you! You should be comfortable with a diverse set of tools (e.g. Spring Boot, Hibernate ORM etc) and, of course, Agile, Scrum and Sprint are not just words for you - they are a way of working that you are acquainted with.
Bonus: You have a Startup and/or Finance background. In this lead role, we ideally need someone to speak German on a professional level.
You're passionate about your work, but also know how to enjoy your free time.
We offer flexible working hours, as well as a self-improvement and advanced training budget. We do Team building events together and you can choose your own hardware, and drinks, for that matter. As a bank, we also provide a Prepaid Credit Card for your personal shopping trip every month. While it's boring, we also have an insurance plan for you - but because you get discounts on a gym membership (Urban Sports Club), we hope you stay fit and will never need it ;)
Our office is located in Berlin's vivid FinTech community with great activities at H:32 (next to Train Station Berlin Zoo), which offers a great work environment - and so does our team.
Last but not least, we offer a competitive salary with 30 days of vacation a year.
