The bucket men in bank note
Aside from featuring bucket men on banknotes from many different countries, meat mountains are presented throughout these works, which serves to combine desire and money together for this series.
As I was working on the first painting of the 100 USD banknote, I merged a meat mountain with the head of Benjamin Franklin. Since then, I continued to use such an artistic approach to express “money” alongside “desire,” which gave rise to a sense of excitement. This exhibition highlights a sense of beauty that is associated with mankind’s lust for money.
